Version 2026-10-22 · Last updated: 22 October 2026
Socializer has zero tolerance for harassment, hate speech, sexual content, child abuse,
fake accounts, spam, scams and threats of violence. Content that breaks these rules is
removed, and the account may be suspended or permanently closed without warning. You can
always report or block anyone who bothers you, right in the app.
1. Parties and acceptance
These terms govern the relationship between you, as a user of the Socializer mobile app, and
Fırat Öncü Şener (Seyyitömer Mahallesi, Hüseyin Kazım Sokak No: 53, Fatih / İstanbul, Türkiye),
who develops and operates the app ("Socializer", "we", "us").
By creating an account or using the app, you accept these terms. How your personal data is
processed is explained in our Privacy Policy. If you don't accept
these terms, please don't use the app. When the terms change, you may be asked to accept the
current version again in the app. If the Turkish and English versions differ, the Turkish
version prevails.
These terms are between you and us only. Downloading the app from the App Store or Google Play
does not make Apple or Google a party to them, and we, not they, are responsible for supporting
the app. If you downloaded it from the App Store, the additional terms in
section 15 also apply.
2. Age requirement
Only people who are at least 18 years old may use Socializer. You must enter your
real date of birth at sign-up; people under 18 cannot register. Accounts found to belong to
someone under 18 are closed immediately. See also our Child Safety
Standards.
3. Account and phone verification
Each person may have only one account. You may not transfer, sell or lend your account.
Socializer does not use passwords; your account is tied to your device by a signing key
created on it. You are responsible for keeping your device secure.
You may be asked to verify your account with your phone number. You may not use a number
that belongs to someone else. If you started without phone verification under the
founding member programme, you may be asked to verify your
number to keep using the app when the programme is stopped or its scope changes.
The information on your profile must be accurate. You may not impersonate anyone or
misrepresent your age or identity.
You need to verify your profile with a selfie before you can send chat messages. The profile
verification badge shows that the profile photos look consistent with a selfie; it does not
guarantee a person's identity or trustworthiness.
4. How the app works
Check-in: when you allow location access, you see the venues around you. You
can only check in at a venue that is within 3 km of you. When checking in you choose a mode
(Flirt, Network, Chill) and a duration; the check-in closes by itself when the time is up.
Visibility: in Discover you only see people who have checked in at the same
venue. When checking in you choose who you want to see, and whoever you pick can see you
too. With Premium's Incognito option you see the people at the venue without
appearing in Discover; only the person you send an eye contact to can see you.
Eye contact: you send an eye contact to someone you like. If they accept
within a short time, you match.
Short chat: a match opens a chat that lasts a few minutes. The goal is not
long texting but saying hello in person. When the time is up the chat closes and the
messages are deleted as described in our Privacy Policy.
We may change features, durations and limits to improve the service.
5. Rules of conduct and zero tolerance
The following is strictly prohibited on Socializer:
Harassment: bullying, threats, stalking, persistent unwanted messages, or
bothering someone inside or outside the app.
Hate speech: demeaning or discriminating against people because of race,
ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or similar characteristics.
Sexual content: nudity, obscene photos or text, unsolicited sexual messages,
offering or requesting sexual services.
Child abuse: any sexual content involving minors, abuse of minors, or any
attempt at it. The account is closed immediately and permanently, and the matter is reported
to the authorities.
Fake accounts: fake profiles, impersonating others, misleading age or
identity, coming back with a new account after one was closed.
Other people's photos: photos that are not yours or that you have no right
to share, and images showing other people without their consent.
Scams: asking for money, gifts or personal information, investment or crypto
offers, romance scams.
Violence: threatening or encouraging violence, promoting self-harm, illegal
activities.
Privacy violations: sharing someone else's personal details, location or chat
without their consent.
Abusing the system: fake location (fake GPS, VPN), exploiting security
flaws, reverse engineering the app, scraping data, trying to get around blocks or
sanctions.
Photos, nicknames and bios pass through automatic filters. Filters are not perfect; if you see
something that breaks the rules, please report it.
6. Reporting and blocking
Tap the menu icon on a profile card in Discover (⋯), at the top of the chat screen or in the
Who Looked At You list (⋮). On an incoming eye contact, the Block or report link
opens the same options.
Report: pick a category (Inappropriate behaviour, Harassment or threats, Fake
profile, Child safety, Something else). Your report goes to our moderation team. You will not
see the person you reported at any venue again, and they will not see you.
Block: if you want to keep away from someone without reporting them, you can
block them. Blocking works both ways and at every venue: you won't see each other in
Discover or in Who Looked At You, neither of you can send eye contacts or messages, and any
match between you ends. You can unblock later from the blocked list on the
Security & Privacy screen, but a separation that comes from a report cannot be
lifted.
If someone's life is in danger, call your local emergency number first (112 in Türkiye and
the EU).
7. Moderation and sanctions
We review reports within 24 hours, remove content that breaks the rules and
apply the sanctions below to the account that posted it. Child safety reports are handled
first.
While reviewing a report, authorised staff can see the content of chats between the two
people the report concerns. This access is logged. Chats between people with no report
between them are not read.
Content that breaks the rules is removed. Depending on how serious the violation is, we issue
a warning, suspend the account for a period or close it permanently. Serious violations (such
as child abuse or real threats) get no warning.
The owner of a closed account may be prevented from signing up again with the same phone
number or device.
An account that receives reports from many different people in a short time may be suspended
automatically until the review is complete.
Unlawful content and situations that suggest a crime may be reported to the competent
authorities.
The photos you upload and the bio and messages you write belong to you. You confirm that you
have the right to share them and that they do not infringe anyone else's rights.
So that we can provide the service, you give us a non-exclusive, free, non-transferable licence
to store, process, show to other users and moderate your content. This licence ends when you
delete the content or close your account, subject to the retention periods in our
Privacy Policy. We do not use your content in advertising or marketing.
We may remove content that we believe breaks these terms without prior notice.
9. Meeting in person and limitation of liability
Socializer makes it easier for people at the same venue to meet; it does not run background or
identity checks and does not guarantee anyone's behaviour. You are responsible for your
interactions with the people you meet and for your own safety. Please keep in mind:
Meet for the first time in a busy, public place and tell a friend where you are.
Don't share your home address, financial details or ID details; never send anyone money.
Keep your drink in sight and arrange your own transport.
If you feel uncomfortable, leave and report the person in the app. In an emergency, call 112.
We work hard to provide the service with care, but we cannot guarantee that it will be
uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for
users' behaviour inside or outside the app or for damage resulting from it. Our liability for
intent or gross negligence, and your statutory rights as a consumer, remain unaffected.
10. Paid features (Premium) and founding member programme
Premium offers the extra features listed in the app.
We are currently in a test phase: Premium features may be unlocked free of
charge for testing, and no real payment is taken during this time.
Paid subscriptions will later be available only through the App Store or Google Play. The
price, duration and renewal terms are shown before you buy. The store handles payment,
renewal and cancellation; you can cancel your subscription in your store account settings.
Refund requests are subject to the store's rules.
Premium time given for free (for example as an invite reward) is limited to the period and
conditions under which it was given.
Your rights under Turkish Consumer Protection Law No. 6502 remain unaffected.
Founding member programme
While the programme is open, Socializer may offer "founding member" perks to the first users who
sign up (currently the first 5,000 people). Whether you are a founding member is decided when
you sign up, by sign-up order. People who sign up after the quota is full, or while the
programme is closed, do not become founding members.
Perks: founding members may be offered free Premium (currently 365 days from
the date it is granted) and the option to start using the app without phone (SMS)
verification. Socializer decides which perks are on. Your founding member number is shown
only to you, on your profile and in the menu, and stays on your account permanently.
Changes and stopping the programme: Socializer may change the programme and its
scope (quota, duration, perks), pause it or end it without prior notice. In that case:
If you started without phone verification, you may be asked to verify your phone number
to keep using the app. Until you do, you can only use the phone verification screen in
the app; from that screen you can sign out or delete your account.
Premium given as a founding member perk may be suspended. If the programme is turned
back on, the suspension may be lifted. Time spent suspended is not made up; the end date
of your founding member Premium does not change.
Your other Premium: a suspension only covers Premium that comes from founding
membership. Premium you bought in the store or earned another way, such as an invite reward,
is not affected. If you earn Premium another way while suspended, that time applies during
the suspension; when the programme is turned back on, whichever of your founding member
Premium and that time ends later applies, and the two are not added together.
Invites: a founding member who started without phone verification does not
count as a verified invite for invite rewards until they verify their number.
Abuse: founding membership can only be claimed once on the same device. The
founding member perks of accounts that abuse the programme or break these terms may be
withdrawn.
Nature of the perk: founding membership and founding member Premium are a free
perk; they have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for cash, sold, transferred or moved to
another account.
11. Intellectual property
The Socializer name, logo, design, software and content (other than user content) belong to us.
You may use the app only for personal, non-commercial purposes and in line with these terms.
You may not copy, modify or reverse engineer the app, or collect its data by automated means.
12. Closing and deleting your account
You can delete your account in the app at any time: Menu › Security & Privacy ›
Delete Account Permanently. Details: Account Deletion.
We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, if the law requires it, or if
other users' safety requires it.
When an account is closed, its data is deleted or kept as described in our
Privacy Policy and on the account deletion page.
13. Changes
We may update these terms. If there are important changes, we will tell you in the app and may
ask you to accept the current version again. The version in force and its date are shown at
the top of this page.
14. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. For transactions you make as a
consumer, your right to apply to the consumer arbitration committees and consumer courts of your
place of residence under Law No. 6502 remains unaffected. For all other disputes, the Istanbul
Central (Çağlayan) Courts and Enforcement Offices have jurisdiction. If you live in the EU, the
mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence also apply.
15. Additional terms for App Store users
If you downloaded the app from the Apple App Store, this section also applies. If it conflicts
with the rest of these terms, this section prevails for the App Store version of the app.
Parties: these terms are between you and us, not Apple. We, not Apple, are
solely responsible for the app and its content.
Licence: you receive a non-transferable licence to use the app only on
Apple-branded devices that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the App
Store Terms of Service. Where those rules allow, the app may also be used by other accounts
linked to yours through Family Sharing.
Maintenance and support: we alone are responsible for maintaining and
supporting the app. Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for it.
Warranty: if the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may
notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price you paid for the app (if any). To the
maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app. Any other
claims, losses, damages, costs or expenses caused by a failure to conform to a warranty are
our responsibility, not Apple's.
Product claims: we, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claims by
you or a third party relating to the app or your use of it, including product liability
claims, claims that the app fails to meet a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims under
consumer protection, privacy or similar laws.
Intellectual property: if a third party claims that the app or your use of it
infringes their intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, are solely responsible for
investigating, defending, settling and resolving that claim.
Legal compliance: you confirm that you are not located in a country that is
subject to a U.S. Government embargo or that the U.S. Government has designated as a
"terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of
prohibited or restricted parties.
Contact: send any questions, complaints or claims about the app to the
address in section 16.
Third-party terms: when using the app you must also comply with the terms of
any third-party service you rely on, such as your mobile data provider.
Third-party beneficiary: Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party
beneficiaries of these terms. Once you accept them, Apple has the right to enforce these
terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
